Parks & Trails Signage

A Complex Problem

The City of Edmonton sought to enhance the usability and safety of its parks and trails with a comprehensive signage system. The challenge was to create informative and durable signs that provide clear directions, park maps, and interpretive content about the area’s natural history, enhancing the overall visitor experience. These signs needed to be accessible to all, including individuals with disabilities, to foster community engagement and ownership.

A Simple Solution

Hi Signs developed a modular parks and trails signage system that allows for easy updates and cost-effective maintenance. Working closely with the City of Edmonton, we handled everything from content creation for interpretive signage to cartography and directional signs. Our integrated approach included managing multiple sub-trades, from concrete work to engineering, ensuring that each sign was perfectly positioned and securely mounted.

The Result

Our signage solutions have transformed how residents and visitors interact with Edmonton’s parks and trails. By providing clear and consistent information through well-designed signs, we have improved navigability, safety, and accessibility. The new system not only guides users efficiently but also enriches their outdoor experience, contributing to enhanced health and community connection. This project underscores Hi Signs’ commitment to quality and our expertise in delivering comprehensive wayfinding solutions that meet the diverse needs of public spaces.
