Museum Exhibit Fabrication

A Complex Problem

ATB Financial sought a meaningful way to celebrate over 86 years of history by showcasing its legacy through physical artifacts, archival materials, and brand evolution. The challenge was to design a permanent museum-quality exhibit within a functioning financial headquarters—one that would engage visitors, protect valuable historical items, and visually reflect ATB’s identity. With a tight construction timeline and multiple stakeholders, the project required precision fabrication, artifact preservation, and seamless coordination with designers and contractors.

A Simple Solution

Working in close partnership with Entro Communications and PCL Construction, Hi Signs delivered a turnkey fabrication and installation package that included custom signage panels, shelving, brackets, experiential wall graphics, and protective acrylic artifact boxes. We also refurbished legacy signage, from carved cedar pieces to early LED displays, to create a curated signage museum that reflects ATB’s design evolution. The interactive drawer system allows visitors to physically engage with ATB’s story, supported by a collaborative Design-Build approach that prioritized material quality, cost efficiency, and design intent.

The Result

The exhibit brings ATB’s rich history to life in a highly engaging, tactile, and visually compelling format. By combining storytelling with craftsmanship, the installation has become a celebrated feature of the headquarters, preserving ATB’s legacy while enhancing its brand identity. The project underscores Hi Signs’ ability to collaborate across disciplines and deliver museum-quality results under pressure, with design, fabrication, and installation completed on time for the grand opening.
