The Town of Okotoks, known for its picturesque landscapes and vibrant community, needed effective wayfinding signage to enhance visitor experience and encourage exploration of local attractions, businesses, and natural areas. The challenge was to create a cohesive and inviting wayfinding system that would guide visitors efficiently while complementing the town’s aesthetic appeal.
A Simple Solution
In collaboration with Cygnus Design Group, Hi Signs developed a municipal wayfinding system for Okotoks, featuring directional signs, finger posts, monoliths, and maps. Constructed with durable polyurethane paint and retroreflective graphics, the signage was built to withstand outdoor conditions. Project steps included utility locates, screw pile installation, permits, and final placement.
The Result
The wayfinding system improved navigation for Okotoks’ visitors and residents, guiding them to attractions and boosting local business visibility. The signage both served its function and enhanced the town’s charm, reinforcing Okotoks’ appeal as a welcoming and accessible destination.
