Gold Leaf Signage

A Complex Problem

Moose Hotel & Suites, nestled in the picturesque town of Banff, required a signage solution that would seamlessly blend with the stunning natural environment and maintain Banff’s strict heritage standards. They wanted something bespoke, timeless, and that evoked the charm of traditional craftsmanship. The challenge was to create a signage solution that would not only provide wayfinding but also serve as a striking feature, embodying both the rustic elegance of the region and the luxurious experience their guests expect.

A Simple Solution

Hi Signs crafted a custom gold leaf sign for Moose Hotel & Suites, using traditional 23k hand-gilding techniques to ensure a timeless, high-end finish. The sign was designed to capture attention from multiple angles, with strategic placement and subtle illumination that complements the natural landscape. The durability of the materials was carefully considered to withstand the elements of Banff while retaining the elegance expected by the hotel’s guests. This sign became not just a functional wayfinding tool but a signature feature of the property.

The Result

The gold leaf signage for Moose Hotel & Suites stands out as an iconic feature, glimmering in daylight and glowing softly at night. It has enhanced the hotel’s brand presence, seamlessly merging with Banff’s heritage aesthetic while providing a distinctive identity for the property. The sign not only meets the town’s historical guidelines but also elevates the guest experience, leaving a lasting impression on visitors.
