Community Gateway Signs

A Complex Problem

The Town of Hardisty wanted to create Community Gateway Signs that would serve as a welcoming feature at its entrances, showcasing its unique character and heritage. The goal was to design signage that would reflect Hardisty’s hardworking spirit and roots in agriculture, oil, and natural gas. The challenge was to capture the community’s identity through a visually impactful sign that fosters a sense of place and pride for both residents and visitors.

A Simple Solution

Hi Signs collaborated with the Town of Hardisty council to design gateway signage that embodies the town’s values and legacy. The final design incorporates elements representing “black gold” (oil), industrial metalwork, and wheat—symbolizing Hardisty’s industries and community spirit. Through comprehensive project management, including planning, utility line locating, and custom fabrication, our team brought this vision to life.

The Result

Hardisty’s gateway signs now stand as a proud representation of its heritage and industrious nature. These signs provide a sense of belonging and community spirit, creating an inviting entrance that resonates with both locals and visitors. Hi Signs continues to support the project with ongoing service, ensuring the signage remains a lasting symbol of Hardisty.
