City Wayfinding
A Complex Problem
Calgary’s +15 Skywalk links more than 100 downtown buildings, forming one of the largest elevated pedestrian systems in the world. But decades of mixed ownership and inconsistent signage made the network difficult to navigate. The City needed a clear, unified wayfinding program that felt modern, intuitive, and reliable across every bridge and corridor.
A Simple Solution
Hi Signs partnered with Steer Consulting to bring the new +15 wayfinding system to life. We fabricated and installed all sign types across publicly owned buildings, coordinating closely with dozens of private property owners throughout the network. Each component was engineered for clarity and durability using architectural-grade materials built for heavy public use. Despite varied building conditions and high-traffic environments, our team delivered consistent, precise installation across the entire system.
The Result
The +15 Skywalk now features a cohesive, easy-to-follow wayfinding system that guides thousands of daily users with confidence. Clean design, durable construction, and meticulous installation come together to create a network that feels connected, modern, and ready for the future. This project showcases Hi Signs’ ability to execute complex, multi-stakeholder wayfinding programs at metropolitan scale.
