Academic Campus Wayfinding
A Complex Problem
NAIT required an improved academic campus wayfinding system to help students, faculty, and visitors navigate its extensive campus. The challenge was to design a comprehensive signage solution that would seamlessly guide users to various departments, classrooms, and facilities. The signs needed to be informative, durable, and accessible to ensure they catered to the diverse needs of the campus community, enhancing the overall educational environment.
A Simple Solution
Hi Signs devised a turn-key solution for campus wayfinding by collaborating with Clark Builders. We were responsible for the detailed planning, content scheduling, site mapping, and installation of all signage elements. Our approach included fabricating interior directories, amenity identification signs, door IDs, and exterior miniliths. Each component was designed for clarity, durability, and ease of maintenance, ensuring that navigation across the campus was straightforward and effective.
The Result
Our academic campus wayfinding project at NAIT has significantly improved how people interact with the campus. By providing clear and consistent directional guidance and information, we have enhanced the navigability and accessibility of the campus. The new signage system not only directs users efficiently but also supports NAIT’s commitment to an inclusive educational experience.
